Adobe Launches Creative Talent Search for Recruiters and Creatives
- Published on
Behance is a network of websites that provides various self-promotional services, especially portfolio sites. Creative professionals can create design portfolios and display them on the Behance site. Adobe acquired Behance in late 2012 and has already begun to provide benefits for the parent company. Adobe is integrating features of Behance’s site into its own products, and this site also continues to thrive by itself.
Adobe recently added a feature called Creative Talent Search to Behance that will attract both recruiters and creative talent to this site. Creative Talent Search is a search tool that allows recruiters to find the talent they need, but it also provides creatives with a platform for showcasing their portfolios. This tool uses Adobe’s proven experience with imaging software to perform searches on the portfolios as well as traditional searches on key words in the creatives' resumes.
Creative Talent Search’s algorithm allows this tool to adapt to each recruiter’s particular needs over time. This algorithm changes when a recruiter selects a creative's portfolio, increasing the likelihood that similar portfolios will appear at the top of future search results. This feature is known as the "Creative Graph." Creatives also benefit from Creative Talent Search, since they can now use their portfolio to market themselves rather than just their resume.
Recruiters can also search for creative talent by using traditional criteria in the resumes such as tools used, employers and schools. The existing job board on Behance’s website will remain, allowing recruiters to continue advertising their job openings. Adobe will also launch an iOS app later this year, which will allow iPhone owners to use Creative Talent Search.
These improvements will provide creators with additional incentive for subscribing to Adobe's Creative Cloud. In addition to Behance services, Creative Cloud provides its users with a collection of other software tools that specialize in imaging, including graphic design, photography, video editing and Web development. Creative Cloud also offers standard cloud services such as file hosting and Web hosting.
Students participating in AGI's Adobe training courses for creative tools, e-learning, and video editing who also use Behance will benefit from being able to have more targeted jobs offered to them.
