With more than 15 years of electronic publishing experience, Christopher provides business strategy and change management consulting services to communications professionals and publishers. Educated as a journalist, he works extensively with magazine and newspaper clients who are migrating to InDesign and InCopy and also with clients implementing electronic document review processes with Adobe Acrobat. Smith regularly speaks at events and conferences around the world.

Christopher has authored numerous books, including Real World Adobe Acrobat, Adobe InDesign Classroom in a Book (CS and CS2 versions), InDesign for QuarkXPress Users, Moving to InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite 2 for Dummies, and Sam's Teach Yourself Adobe Acrobat in 24 Hours, Adobe Photoshop Elements Classroom in a Book, Adobe Premiere Elements Classroom in a Book. He is widely considered one of the foremost industry experts regarding both Adobe Acrobat and Adobe InDesign. Smith also manages content for the annual Adobe Acrobat and PDF Conference held each spring in Orlando, Florida.

Outside of AGI, he has served as an elected member of the School Board in his hometown in suburban Boston, Massachusetts where he had oversight of a $50 million annual budget in an enterprise with more than 900 employees. Prior to joining AGI, Christopher worked for Quark, Inc.

Jennifer SmithJennifer Smith

Executive Vice President

Jennifer has more than two decades of design and electronic publishing experience. She is a founding member of Aquent Graphics Institute and prior to joining AGI, worked in advertising and as an art director and served as a principal in a Pennsylvania-based design firm. Jennifer is widely regarded as one of the foremost authorities in electronic publishing and design and is often requested as a speaker at seminars and conferences.

Jennifer supports the curriculum development and content customization efforts of AGI clients. She has authored a number of books on print and Internet publishing, including the Adobe Creative Suite for Dummies (CS and CS2), Adobe Illustrator Classroom in a Book (CS and CS2), GoLive CS2 Classroom in a Book, and Sam's Teach Yourself Adobe GoLive in 24 Hours.

Jeremy OsbornJeremy Osborn

Director of Training

Jeremy Osborn has more than 15 years of experience in web and graphic design, fi lmmaking, writing and publication development for both print and digital media. Jeremy recently served as the program director of Graphic & Web Design at the Center for Digital Imaging Arts at Boston University. Jeremy has contributed to several of the Adobe Classroom in a Book series including Adobe Acrobat 6 & 7 Professional, Adobe InDesign CS & CS2, Adobe GoLive CS2, and was the co author for Adobe Audition and the author of Adobe Premiere Elements.

At AGI, Jeremy has provided in-depth training and custom consulting for students and corporate clients. Jeremy holds a MS in Management from the Marlboro College Graduate Center and a BFA in Film/TV from the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU.

Fred GerantabeeFred Gerantabee

Training Manager

Fred Gerantabee is a New York based interactive designer, developer, and educator with more than a decade of Web publishing experience. He has earned an Emmy Award for his work with Disney/ABC’s Enhanced TV division, creating synchronous, FLASH-based applications and interactive games for major television events such as the 2004 Presidential Elections, the 76th and 77th Academy Awards, and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. His experience spans production, design and development, including motion graphics, CD-ROMs, scripting, and managing database-driven web sites.

Fred is an Adobe Certifi ed Expert for Flash, Dreamweaver and Flash Lite. He serves as an instructor at Aquent Graphics Institute, and is coauthor of the upcoming Flash CS3 Digital Classroom and Dreamweaver CS3 Digital Classroom published by O’Reilly and AGI.
