Adobe Dreamweaver Tutorial: Photoshop Smart Objects in Dreamweaver

Dreamweaver CS5 offers support for Photoshop smart objects, meaning you can drag a PSD file into a web page within Dreamweaver, optimize the image for the web, and even resize it. If you later update the original PSD file, a red arrow appears on the image in Dreamweaver, indicating that the source file has changed. You can then click the Update from Original button in the Property Inspector, and a new version of the image is created.

Smart objects provide easier optimizing and updating of graphics.
