Adobe Premiere Pro CC adds new features and video editing capabilities that will help video editors working in modern workflows.  Two of the standout features being added into Premiere Pro CC 2016 include virtual reality (VR) and 360-degree video. A field of view mode in Premiere Pro CC 2016 enables workflows with spherical video that has been stitched together, showing what a viewer would see if looking in a certain direction. The field of view mode in Premiere Pro CC 2015 enables switching between various frame layouts that include anaglyph, monoscopic, and stereoscopic. This enables viewing angles to be repositioned around a full 360 degree sphere during the editing process. The new field of view mode can then export video to include VR tags, which allows YouTube and other video players to understand and interact with the various fields of view. These capabilities will soon be integrated into the advanced training which is part of the Premiere Pro courses offered at AGI.

Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2016 also allows video editors to work more efficiently while importing. Editors no longer need to wait for entire video or audio to be imported. Video can now be edited while additional footage is being imported in the background.

As high resolution video becomes the norm, video editors need to work with increasingly large files. Enabling a new proxy workflow in Premiere Pro CC 2016 helps editors to more efficiently work with high definition video content. Premiere Pro CC 2016 can edit 8K, HDR and HFR video.

Color correction in Premiere Pro CC 2016 is enhanced with more capabilities being added to the Lumetri color correction toolkit. This supports more refined controls for isolating areas to be corrected, selecting specific colors to be modified, and working with Hugh Saturation and Lightness (HSL) secondaries to correct specific colors.

While most video editors tend to work on longer for video, for those creating shorter content or wanting to promote clips, Premiere Pro CC 2016 includes social media export options. This includes enabling video to be exported to Twitter.
