Why it's useful to learn Agile

Learning Agile helps you to organize projects and teams efficiently. Even complex projects that span multiple parts of an organization can benefit from using Agile principles. It is useful to learn Agile regardless of your role in a team. In Agile training courses, you learn core Agile principles, from its basic foundations to the concepts like the Agile Manifesto. We'll break down the reasons behind Agile's design and compare its advantages to traditional processes, shedding light on the differences with 'waterfall' methods.

You will gain an understanding of the challenges of traditional workflows, tackling issues like scope creep and shifting priorities. You’ll learn to identify project types that benefit most from Agile and understand the various styles used by working teams, including a closer look at traditional SCRUM teams.

Gain an understanding of the structures of Agile teams across different organizations, understanding how roles are assigned within cross-functional teams. Understand the roles of the 'product owner' and 'scrum master,' exploring their contributions in both Agile and “waterfall” processes using real project examples.

Hands-on activities and projects will guide you through essential Agile artifacts, such as user stories, product backlogs, and sprints. You will work together on a user story writing exercises, getting comfortable with assigning story points and business value. Learn the importance of the product backlog and the intricacies of sprint planning, along with the concept of team velocity.

The training explores more advanced Agile topics, like Epics and Themes, and participants actively participate in sprint retrospectives to identify both challenges and successes. Looking at various Agile team roles and configurations, the courses discuss a sample team setup tailored to your company or class.

Understand the benefits of the standup meeting and engage in planning exercises, including sample sprints and sprint planning. By the end of training, you'll have a solid understanding of Agile and also practical skills to apply it in diverse projects, teams, and internal initiatives. Enhance your project management approach through the power of Agile.
