Randall Armor - Boston Photography Instructor
Randall Armor teaches photraphy classes in Boston at American Graphics Institute. Randall has three decades of experience in commercial photography and creative photography, and brings this every class he teaches. As an educator, he has previously served as Academic Director at New England School of Photography in Boston, and as Program Director at the digital imaging program at Boston University's center for digital imaging arts. Randall is a member of the Society for Photographic Education and spoke at its 50th National Conference in Chicago in 2013.
As a commercial photographer, he worked for more than a decade in the advertising studio at Filenes in Boston, and contributed significantly to that company's transition from traditional to digital photography. Prior to that he established and managed an in-house catalog studio for Charrette Corporation as part of a creative team pioneering early desktop publishing design and production technologies. During those years he also shot freelance assignments for Lotus, Fidelity Investments, Harvard Health, Graphique de France, ColorAge, Boston Magazine, The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and other corporate, technology and advertising clients, all after an earlier 5-year stint as a portrait and wedding photographer in Newport, RI.
An accomplished street, travel and editorial landscape photographer, his work has appeared in group and solo exhibitions throughout the region, most notably at the Puck Building Gallery in NYC; New England School of Photography's Gallery One, The Bromfield Gallery, The Photographic Resource Center at Boston University, Gallery XIV, Boston University's Gallery 808, and Panopticon Gallery, all in Boston; Harvard University, Out-Of-The-Blue Gallery, and The Cambridge Art Association in Cambridge; The Griffin Museum of Photography in Winchester, MA, and the Newport Rhode Island Art Museum.
Claudia Murray - Boston Photography Instructor
Claudia Murray teaches a variety of photography classes at American Graphics Institute. Claudia completed her undergraduate studies at Tufts and Master’s degree in UNC in engineering fields and has been a professional photographer for more than two decades. She is a member of several professional photography associations, and has won numerous awards for her photography. She shares her extensive knowledge of photography in ways that are practical and easy-to-understand, regardless of the device you are using or the situation you wish to capture.
Claudia has worked in all areas of commercial photography. Her studio work covers a range of commercial photography, including business portraits, events, weddings, and special occasions, and family portraiture. She also works with high volume needs associated with youth sports teams and schools, as well as unique lighting and speed requirements for various sporting events. Whether photographing the vice president of the United States, a high profile Chief Executive Officer, or a family for a portrait, she has a wealth of experience to share for always getting the best out of your photography.
