Course Details and Outlines for Photography Classes
This introductory digital photography course provides a comprehensive guide to the proper use of your digital SLR camera. Students will explore major camera controls, functions, components and accessories; the interrelationship between light, ISO, shutter speed and aperture, metering light for correct exposure; and how different focal length lenses affect the look of our images. A camera that can be set in manual mode is required for this class.
Building on the instruction provided in Intro to Digital Photography I, students will tackle more complex camera functions and lighting challenges. In this half-day class you’ll see exposure through use of a histogram, evaluate the color of light through white balancing techniques, and learn more about the different image file types, sizes, and options, and talk about lens options.
