Photography Course: Introduction
This introductory digital photography course offered in our Boston location provides a comprehensive guide to the proper use of a digital SLR camera. Students explore major camera controls, functions, components and accessories; the interrelationship between light, ISO, shutter speed and aperture, metering light for correct exposure; and how different focal length lenses affect the look of our images. A camera that can be set in manual mode is required for this full-day class.
Photography Course: Intermediate
Building on the instruction provided in Intro to Digital Photography, students tackle more complex camera functions and lighting challenges. In this full-day class you’ll see exposure through use of a histogram, evaluate the color of light through white balancing techniques, and learn more about the different image file types, sizes, and options, and talk about lens options.

Understand when to use different types of lights, including strobe and hot lights. Learn about options for off camera flash as well as how to set up configurations for 1, 2, or 3 light shots.

Learn about composition guidelines, how to create balance, and capture your viewer’s eye in an image. This one-day hands-on Photoshop class provides you with the skills you need to effectively use Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. Discover how to manage, edit, and share the large number of digital images using Lightroom in this course for photographers and image editors who work with large volumes of images. This Photoshop Lightroom class uses the latest version of the application. For Lightroom training classes in our classrooms, computers and the app are provided for the course. Photoshop Lightroom courses use the Photoshop Lightroom application, which is a separate version of Photoshop, designed to meet the needs of photographers.
