The UX Certification Program provides an internationally recognized, vendor-neutral credential that is exam based and serves as the ISO standard for User Experience professionals. The CPUX F exam, also known as the CPUX foundation level exam, and preparation are offered in the USA by American Graphics Institute.
About CPUX f Certification
- How it works: Attend a UX Certification course, pass the internationally recognized UX Certification exam, and receive a UX certificate.
- Timing: The UX Certification exam requires less than two hours to complete; the certification course to prepare for the exam is two days in length.
- Preparation: Prepare as part of a two-day UX Certification course for the CPUX-F exam which prepares participants for the exam, alternatively prepare as part of a long-term UX Certificate program, or independently.
- Exams: UX Certification exams are proctored and are offered online or in-person. Exams can be scheduled immediately following the UX Certification preparation course, or can be scheduled separately. Exam fees are sepraate from the preparation course.
- Recognition: Upon passing the UX Certification exam, you will receive a UX Certificate and badge issued by the UXQB, the International Usability and UX Qualification Board, and be eligible for listing on the UXQB website. More than 5,000 individuals have attained UX Certification. The exam is developed by the international organization responsible for creating UX standards.
UX Certification: Three options
There are three options for obtaining UX Certification: Pass the UX certification exam, pass a UX specialization exam, or obtain a certificate through a course of study. These three options for obtaining UX certification are discussed here:
Pass the CPUX f Certification Exam
Attend a UX Certification preparation course, or study on your own independently and pass the international recognized UX Certification exam from UXQB. This certification provides credibility and recognition as a UX Professional, showing international standards have been satisfied.
Pass a UX Specialization Exam
Obtain a UX specialization in addition to the foundation UX Certificate to show expertise in specific areas. Specialized, advanced level certification is available for User Requirements Engineering, Usability testing and Evaluation, and Designing Solutions.
Obtain a UX Certificate through a course of study
Professionals starting in the UX field may wish to start with the UX Certificate program to gain foundational skills as a pathway to preparing for the UX Certification. This program provides more than 100 hours of UX training and serves as a good foundation for those starting in the UX field.

CPUX F Certification Training
This UX class prepares participants for the internationally recognized UX Certification exam known as CPUX-F. The UX course also provides an understanding of the process and skills necessary to lead projects through the phases of the design process, allowing participants to determine the most appropriate methods to create successful projects, whether websites, apps, or objects requiring human input. The course provides both discrete skills as well as processes and concepts that allow groups to work more effectively as a team through the design process. The UX Certification course includes concepts, labs, exercises and projects to help you adopt and understand the human-centered design process as well as provide preparation for the UXQB certification exam: CPUX-F. Human Centered Design Process concepts and processes are core components of the course, and participants learn how the process works within other design frameworks.
UX Certificate Program
In the UX certificate you learn the foundational principles of user experience design, along with the tools used by UX professionals for research, wireframing, and prototyping. User experience skills are improved through projects designing websites, apps, and interfaces, and then showcased in your own UX portfolio that is created as part of the program. All participants in the UX certificate have access to AGI's dedicated career counseling service, and receive one-on-one coaching from UX professionals. The program is 119 hours consisting of more than 10 UX classes, and new sections of the program start monthly. The UX certificate is available full-time or part-time, and you can attend either in-person or online. All courses are delivered by live instructors.
UX Design course
In this UX class, participants learn the core principles of digital product design and produce a project using the UX design process. Through a project-focused workshop, participants learn all stages of user experience design. It starts with determining UX strategy, moving into user research, discovering user scenarios, building user personas, and developing an information architecture (IA).
Once the structure of the content has been prioritized, participants sketch and prototype their design. All along the way, iteration and testing is implemented so as to learn how to incorporate feedback from others.
This UX design class provides a strong foundation for creating user-centered designs, whether in web design, app design, interface, or product design.
