Web Design Class for High School Students
In this web design course, high school students learn first-hand how websites are designed and created, and explore what makes a good user experience. Led by professional web designers, students discover the principles of successful UX (user experience) design, exercise creative project planning, create beautiful visual designs, and bring their designs to life in a final interactive website. No prior design or coding experience is necessary for this program.
The web design course for high school students and middle school students also includes the basics of the language behind the web, HTML and CSS, along with planning and visual design aspects of web design. Students interested in more experience with web programming should consider the Web Development Summer Program, either separately, or as a next step upon completion of this course. This web design class is offered both in the summer and as an after-school program during the school year.

Apps used for the web design class for high school students:

By the end of the web design course, students will have gained:

There are no prerequisites for this course. It is open to high school students and middle school students ages 13 to 18. Computers are provided for use during the course.
Participants receive comprehensive curriculum for this class developed by the Adobe Certified Instructors at AGI who are the authors of more than 50 books on digital design. AGI instructors have created many of the official training guides and books for Adobe Systems.
