UX Bootcamp

Attend the UX Bootcamp at American Graphics Institute and learn to plan, research, organize, and present information to develop useful apps and websites that meet the needs of end-users and achieve the goals of businesses and organizations. About the UX Bootcamp

The UX Bootcamp at American Graphics Institute is a hands-on program that teaches both strategic and tactical skills. Participants learn modern UI and UX design tools along with UX strategy and processes. All classes include significant hands-on work in UX projects. Classes are small, with a limit of 10 per course section, allowing for individualized attention. The UX program covers both UX and UI design.

What’s included with the UX Bootcamp

  • 105 hours of live instruction
  • All books and lesson files, including AGI’s proprietary curriculum
  • Retake any course for a full year at no cost

Ways to attend the UX Bootcamp

  • Live online from your home or office
  • Live in-person at AGI’s classroom in Boston
  • Hybrid, attending some classes online and others in-person

UX Bootcamp

The UX Bootcamp program is available on-line, in-person, or blended. You can start your UX Bootcamp online or in Boston as part of our rolling-admissions process. New classes start every 45 days. If you prefer to start with an individual UX course to try the program, you can later apply the coursework and fees from individual UX courses to the UX Bootcamp program.

UX Bootcamp

If you prefer, the individual components of the UX Bootcamp are also available as short-term UX classes and UX workshops. You can find dates and enroll in these by viewing the available UX courses.

UX Bootcamp and UX Certificate Program Differences

The UX Bootcamp is designed for participants looking to learn UX principles and tools, but are not seeking job placement into a UX role. The UX Certificate program includes additional coursework as well as career placement assistance and is a better choice for those seeking assistance in finding a job in the UX field.

Full-time UX Bootcamp

Clock Hours: 105
Duration: 4 weeks
Format: Live online or in-person.
Course Days: Monday through Friday.
 

Part-time UX Bootcamp

Clock Hours: 105
Duration: Can be completed over a 12 months, part-time with as little as one class per month or as quickly as four weeks.
Format: Live online or in-person; weekday or evening.
Course Days: Primarily weekday courses, with some evening courses available.
Take as little as one class per month, which can include a combination of in-person and online.
 

Enrolling in the UX Bootcamp at American Graphics Institute

Admission for both full and part time programs is rolling and open. You can select your own start date, and select the dates for each individual courses during the registration process. Tuition for UX Bootcamp

Tuition for the UX Bootcamp program is $3,744. Payment plans are available; call or submit an inquiry for details.
 

UX Bootcamp Discount

The UX Bootcamp includes a discount of more than $1,000 compared to enrollment in the courses individually. This discount is already included in the tuition price.
 

Using VA Education Benefits for UX Bootcamp

The UX Bootcamp program  is not eligible for VA Education benefits, however, the similar UX Certificate program is approved for GI Bill benefits. Eligible participants can use their Veterans Affairs (VA) funds for the UX Certificate program.

The UX Bootcamp program prepares participants for user experience design roles, user interface design positions, and for working in web design and app design roles. The program is equally useful for web developers, business analysts, product managers, and traditional designers transitioning to the field of UX Design. Participants can attend the UX Bootcamp online or in Boston.

Course information for the UX Bootcamp

UX Design Course

In this UX class, participants learn the core principles of digital product design and produce a project using the UX design process. Through a project-focused workshop, participants learn all stages of user experience design. It starts with determining UX strategy, moving into user research, discovering user scenarios, building user personas, and developing an information architecture (IA).
Once the structure of the content has been prioritized, participants sketch and prototype their design. All along the way, iteration and testing is implemented so as to learn how to incorporate feedback from others.
This UX design class provides a strong foundation for creating user-centered designs, whether in web design, app design, interface, or product design.

Information Architecture Class for UX

In this UX Class for information architecture, discover methods and processes for structuring and organizing content to build effective user experiences. Learn to prioritize, sort, structure and organize information so that it can be found in a way that is consistent and predictable. As part of this UX course participants find out how to evaluate existing content and assess new content needs. Participants also learn to organize and structure content, as well as define navigation.

UX Class: User Experience for Mobile Devices and Touch Screens

Learn about UX for phones, tablets, and touch-screens along with special considerations when defining their UX and UI in this focused UX class. This course teaches usability and interaction factors that impact mobile, tablet, and phone UX. Participants in this UX course discover how to create interfaces and interactions that are optimized for mobile and touch input. Learn how usability issues such as finger size, touch targets, single-hand use, and environment impact UX, and how to address these factors.

UX prototyping training

Learn UX Prototyping skills in this live UX class led by an expert in the user experience design field. Participants discover how to efficiently create, share and test concepts, designs and structure for websites and apps through the rapid prototyping UX design process. Learn best practices for UX prototyping and testing before investing in final user experience designs. Gain an understanding of the process for rapid iteration of UX designs and creating mockups. In this UX class you discover how to use tools and processes create UX and UI assets and build UX documentation necessary for delivering a final user interface. This UX class is primarily offered for participants in the UX Certificate program, and is also available as a private class for groups.

HTML Course - Introduction

This HTML course teaches web design foundations using HTML and CSS, the building blocks of all web design, web development, and HTML emails. Earn a UX Bootcamp from a licensed school

After successfully completing the program, you will receive a UX Bootcamp from American Graphics Institute, a private licensed school in Massachusetts. You’ll have access to both a printed certificate suitable for framing and a digital certificate that you can share. You can also share your achievement on LinkedIn.

Career services included with the UX Bootcamp

Work with a dedicated career counselor whose full time role is to find you a job. There are no time limits or hour limits on our career counselor, as we assist you until you find a job. Your career counselor has more than two decades of experience in helping find professionals jobs in creative, design, video, UX, UI, and marketing roles. Learn from a live instructor dedicated to your class with the smallest class sizes that are limited to 10 students per class as part of the UX Bootcamp . When we reach our class size limit, we close enrollment or add another section. You receive personalized attention and can get questions answered in the small-group learning environment where our instructors make certain you are progressing appropriately through the material.

On campus

In-person, face-to-face classes with a live instructor in the same classroom with you is available in Boston. You can attend a hands-on course with your choice of a Mac or Windows computer provided for use during the course.

Live online UX Bootcamp 

Learn from a dedicated instructor with our small-group, live online classes. Our live online classes are limited to 10 participants, which is less than half the size of most other online classes. You receive personalized attention, get your questions answered, and receive assistance with projects. We provide a dedicated online learning environment, with an instructor that you can see and hear clearly, talk with, ask questions, and share your screen for guidance.

UX Bootcamp Locations

You can attend the UX Bootcamp online  or in-person at our Boston location. Additionally, a hybrid option is available, with some classes in-person, and others online. UX Bootcamp participants can attend from anywhere with a broadband Internet connection.

All UX Bootcamp courses are delivered by live instructors in small-group sessions, with most classes limited to 10 participants. This provides the opportunity to get questions answered, and work on projects with input and personalized attention from instructors.

The  instructors teaching UX Bootcamp courses at AGI average more than a decade of experience that they bring to each class.

UX Bootcamp Prerequisites 

No previous experience with the software tools is required to enroll in the UX Bootcamp. For enrollment, the admissions team evaluates existing skills that are generally necessary for a professional career. These include communications skills and general computer skills.
If attending the UX Bootcamp in-person, computers are provided at AGI’s classroom. If enrolling in the UX Bootcamp and attending courses online, a computer capable of running the Adobe Creative Cloud apps is needed.

Night and Weekend UX Bootcamp

American Graphics Institute offers some weekend and night courses within the UX Bootcamp. These options are listed within the course schedules listed above, or contact us for a schedule of upcoming night and weekend dates. While some classes are available nights and weekends, other classes require weekday class attendance.

Choosing the right UX Bootcamp

Although there are many UX Bootcamp options, there’s a reason that American Graphics Institute is considered a top school for receiving a UX Bootcamp. This includes expert instructors with many years of practical experience who have authored books, and have extensive teaching experience. As part of the UX Bootcamp there are required courses, most of which are two days or four nights in duration.

The delivery format for classes in the UX Bootcamp  should also be considered as you decide which course to attend. Both in-person and online courses are led by a live instructor. AGI offers regularly scheduled live online courses which allow you to see the instructor’s screen, ask questions, and share your screen if you need assistance. You can also retake any course in the UX Bootcamp program at no cost if you need additional practice or if you don't end up using your new skills right away. All courses in the UX Bootcamp are offered at regularly scheduled dates, with most available every 30 to 45 days.

FAQ for the UX Bootcamp

Do I receive a certificate?

As a private licensed school, AGI provides a certificate upon completion of the UX Certificate Program, which requires separate acceptance and enrollment.

How many students are in each class of the UX Bootcamp

AGI limits its class sizes so that you receive personalized attention. Classes are limited to no more than 10 participants. 

Can I get specific questions answered 

Yes, during the live classes you can ask the instructor detailed questions. You can also get technical questions answered in the one-on-one mentoring sessions with the instructors, or career questions answered with the dedicated career counselor.

Does this class include job placement support 

AGI provides job support as part of this certificate program. AGI has a dedicated career counselor assigned to each certificate student. You will meet with the career counselor at the start of the program, and as the program progresses.

Are the classes in the UX Bootcamp for Mac or Windows?

You can attend classes using either a Mac or Windows computer. Programs in the UX Bootcamp have identical functionality for both. If attending in our classrooms, a computer is provided using the operating system of your choice as well as the most recent version of the Creative Cloud.
